Hi. 41 year old single Mom here.

I have a wonderful 10 year old son, who is my life. I already feel like he gets the short end of the stick with life, but we for the most part are happy, struggling, but happy.

I was laid off after 10 years on my previous job. I FINALLY landed a new job, but at a much smaller rate of pay (I'm still currently looking for a better paying job) and can't complain too much. At least I have a job. But due to the lay off and the new job, we got far behind in all our bills. We are slowly catching up, but some of the companies are letting it be known they can't do that for long.

Well, my son was able to raise most of his Washington trip deposit (enough $$$ to hold him a place), now he is working on saving for the remainder. But we are still so behind on bills. We really could use some help. Food is running thin, I have gone to apply for state help, which I was hoping to avoid. Not sure if, even on my small salary, we will qualify for them. Any help anyone can give us would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Pennylee. Not sure about the water bill. But son is trying to find odd jobs for family members to earn his Washington trip money. I hope he can go.

poormommytoG pay as much as you can and most companies cant say anything.. As long as you are making some kind of payment. Good luck and best wishes. The one thing I found out these passed few weeks is, More then half of the us is at poverty state. And there is not much help out there.
